WILLIAM FIRESTONE is professor in the Educational Policy and
Administration Department at Rutgers University, and Director of the
Center for Educational Policy Analysis. His interests include policy
implementation, the effects of policies and organizational structures on
teaching, and qualitative research methods. His articles have appeared in American
Educational Research Journal, Educational Researcher, Educational
Evaluation and Policy Analysis, and Educational Leadership. His most
recent book is From Cashbox To Classroom: The Struggle
For Fiscal Reform And Educational Change In New Jersey.
